We have two, one indoors and one outside, on the balcony, and we fully planted them two days ago, celebrated the results. It’s such an adventure to have nourishing food and beautiful flowers growing in our own home, greening and beautifying our space and the world. Memorable moments to have shared this with grandkids, who will be here to enjoy the bounty as well!
Gandhi said “Be the change you wish to see.” Well, this is happening at Village Vancouver , part of the greening Transition Town movement. VV has numbers of groups dedicated to urban agriculture and food security. I’ve just joined one in the West End of Vancouver, and it’s a great group of people Encouraging folks to grow their own food, in Community Gardens, at home, and to support local farmers, food co-ops and buying clubs are ass important and exciting developments!
